Being eco-friendly while you wash your eco-friendly fashions
Okay, so you’ve swapped out all your old non-Earth savvy clothes for eco-friendly fashions that can’t be beat. Good start. Now let’s look at getting eco-friendly while you wash those eco-friendly fashions.
Now this post is not aimed at telling you to wash all your clothes with a washboard or by banging them on a stone, but there is a coupe of things that you can do that will greatly save on energy and thus be a more eco-friendly way to go about washing your eco-fashion. This actually has to do with the washing and drying, but we’ll start with the washing first.
When you wash your clothes you can save bookoo energy by doing so in cold water instead of hot water. Now most people have been programed to wash their whites in hot water, but the fact is that they will get just as clen in the cold.
You can also save tons of energy when you cut the use of your dryer. For every load that you do in your dryer, it is like lighting 60, 100 Watt light bulbs for the time that you dry your clothes. This can be reduced if you just dry your clothes a little bit less, time wise. You can also hang your clothes to dry on a clothesline and save even more energy, plus get that fresh outdoors smell.
EcoZeal.com wants everyone to think before they do their next load of eco-friendly laundry. If not for yourself, think for the future of the planet.
