Candy and handbags…how about both!
Every woman loves two things in life; candy and handbags. Now you can get the best of both worlds combined.
No, I am not talking about a handbag made out of chocolate (though that would be pretty good). I am talking about a new idea that takes old candy wrappers and turns them into handbags. This new eco-friendly way of upcycling is gaining so much momentum that I saw something to this effect at Wal-Mart the other night.
Now you don’t have to feel quite as guilty as those M&Ms you enjoy today, could be your handbag tomorrow. One company in particular is featuring these sustainable handbags; Ecoist.
Ecoist has everything from the M&Ms handbag to the ‘Silver Mega’ which was will be featured in Sex and the City 2. Talk about a great boost for the green movement.
EcoZeal.com applauds the efforts of eco-savvy companies to upcycle and makes something unique and fashionable out of something old and discarded. Hopefully more innovative ideas are to follow.
As for eating that extra bag of candy…go for it! Maybe it will supply the eco-friendly materials needed to make a really cool handbag for someone (or at least that’s how you can justify the extra candy).
