Eco-friendly fashion catching up to regular fashion - in all ways
What was once the exception is slowly becoming the rule. Eco-friendly fashion is now catching up to regular main-stream fashion in every way it seems.
Not too long ago all you could get in the way of eco-friendly clothing was some rather tattered looking articles of clothing that didn’t last very long and were not very comfortable. Now those days are long gone and thanks to many innovations in materials such as organic cotton, bamboo fabric, hemp, eco-wool, eco-silk, and more there has never been a better time to be an Earth advocate. Now you can find so many different eco-friendly fashions that it is not hard to look good and still be nice to the planet. But what about price?
While it may be true that many eco-friendly clothing lines are more expensive than their counterparts it is equally true that there are many eco-fashions that are just as cost effective and in some cases cheaper than name brands of comparable outfits.
The only other advantage it would seem that there is for the main-streamers is that there are simply more of them, but this too is slowly changing. Really it is all about supply and demand and the tide is starting to turn on the fashion world. As demand grows for eco-friendly fashions so too will the number of boutiques, stores, and booths that you will see pop up in your local mall. Conversely, the number of main-streamers will begin to fall by the wayside.
EcoZeal.com thinks that it is wonderful to have so many people getting involved in the green movement. It may take some time but eco-friendly fashion will soon be more prevalent and perhaps will one day take over the top spot -or spots- in the malls of America and beyond.
