Score another victory for the eco-friendly fashion movement as now Hanes will be launching an all new eco-friendly line. The company will be airing a green commercial in some prime time sports including during American Idol.

The ad will tout Hanes’ new EcoSmart Fleece apparel which is made up of such post consumer products as recycled plastic bottles. But the green doesn’t stop there.

According to the company, their EcoSmart socks are now made with 55 percent recycled cotton fiber and the method being used to make Hanes boy’s and men’s undershirts are being conducted using renewable energy.

EcoZeal.com is amazed at all of the big name companies that are coming out with green lines and hopes that more will come. It seems that nobody wants to miss the boat and the newest cruise liner in town is the eco-friendly fashion movement.  

What started out as a movement of small voices has turned into a movement with many of the biggest names in the fashion industry screaming aloud. Really in the end whether companies are doing this to actually make a better living environment for all or simply trying to cash in is irrelevant. The fact that the green movement has taken hold will ensure that more big names jump in and the movement will grow even stronger.
