H&M at it again
A very short while ago I posted a story about how retailer H&M was destroying perfectly good clothing that could have just as easily been donated to help those in need. H&M was quick to respond and say they would stop such actions right away. If that was enough to make you run to their stores in order to buy their new eco-friendly fashion line featuring organic cotton, you may be in for a shock.
Now it has come to light that the so called eco-friendly cotton is not so eco-friendly. According to some, the organic cotton used by H&M is in fact genetically-modified cotton. So that means it cannot be considered organic. What is going on?
Is this just another example of a big corporate store trying to play on the eco-savvy heartstrings of others? EcoZeal.com once again reminds everyone that while it is indeed noble to be of the eco-friendly persuasion, you still have to remain vigilant.
As for H&M? As always I will stay on top of this story and continue to bring you the latest in developments. For now though, you may want to steer clear of the company as two big eco-friendly no-nos in one month are two too many.
