Three moms turn idea into eco-friendly fashion business

think-greenThree moms have recently turned their idea on how to recycle, or rather upcylce, their kid’s old clothing into new clothing for others into a full tme business that has now hit the mainstream. The company called Mpenzi was started by Lynda Martin, Donna Hawks, and Hannah White and these seamstresses take old worn out fabrics and make all new designs with them.

The three have put the word out to all who have older clothing that is no longer wearable by their kids to send in what they have. They then make clothing specifically designed to fit kids from six months old all the way up to eight years old. Their way of making clothing is the most eco-friendly in the world as there are no new resources being used, save some thread.

EcoZeal.comthinks the idea is a great one and loves to see such innovation. See how we can all make a difference when we put our green thinking caps on? Mpenzi is a fabulous idea and I hope that there will be more green innovators in the future that put their ideas to work not only for themselves, but for the planet that we all live on as well.
