When it comes to choosing fashion, SWEAT it!

Everyone loves a good bargain especially when it comes to shopping. However, that bargain basement fashion that you just bought may not be such a good deal for the people who made it or the planet which we all share.
Many clothing lines that are super cheap are not only made from non eco-friendly materials, but many are also manufactured in places known as sweatshops. A sweatshop is a place where people (sometimes children) work up to 16 hours per day six or seven day per week and only earn a few cents an hour. How can this be you ask.
Because this happens overseas we as Americans have no control over the situation, but we can control what we spend our money on.
If you are considering any kind of fashion, do a little research first and see how well the workers are being treated. Also take a minute and review what kind of materials is being used in the manufacturing of the clothing.
EcoZeal.com reminds everyone that by buying eco-friendly fashions made of materials such as eco-wool, eco-silk, bamboo fabric, and organic cotton you can be sure that the Earth is better off for it. But you should also still take the time to find out about working conditions as most sustainable products are made in much better environments that the sweat shops, but there are defiantly exceptions to the rule.
