World Cup uniforms go green

In a huge statement for the green movement, Nike has said that the uniforms made for all the players for the 2010 World Cup are the most eco-friendly ever made by them. Because there are so many that are into the sport of soccer this is a great place to have an eco-friendly fashion showcased.
While many of the uniforms that are worn are just downright weird but hey, at least they are eco-friendly. With the world watching every uniform will send a message. Of course with 32 nations competing, it will be hard to miss.
The good press is no doubt a welcomed change for Nike as the company has been in the spotlight in the past and not in a good way. Several years ago environmentalists were questioning whether Nike had sweatshops going on overseas.
The 2010 World Cup starts this June so be sure to tune in and watch the United States or any other country you support, kick their way to victory all while wearing uniforms that are much kinder to the Earth. EcoZeal.com is thrilled to see another large corporation like Nike getting into the sustainable clothing game. Go USA!
